Huck: Author and Pilot

Aviation and space travel were always an interest, and Huck usually sets his stories in those genres. Adding a little more science to the mix propelled his scope of short story writing. Huck prefers writing novels and short stories that utilize feasible science when possible and less pure fantasy. The exception would be the aliens and fictitious locations in the universe.
In addition to writing, Huck has always wanted to fly airplanes. He built and flies an ultralight aircraft and takes aerial photos of his local region. His other past times include studying science and history, and helping others with writing.

Huck lives in Devils Lake, N.D. with his wife, Linnea. He graduated Cando High in 1982, and in 1989 received a B.A. with a major in English, a minor in Computer Science, and a concentration in German from MSU-Minot.
His interest in writing began with drawing comic book stories in junior high school. When he realized he was better at grammar and writing, he decided to write stories, and he dropped the idea of being a cartoonist. In the early 1980s, he purchased a typewriter from the local newspaper office, and later, he jumped on the computer bandwagon. With the emergence of word processors, his hobby of story and poetry writing flourished.
